I do think the short spikey hair in CR was influenced by Damon's Bourne at that time, and since then the producers decided to stick with it short for his films that followed. It was donned by every previous actor who played him, and described as such in the novels. It appeared in every film other than CR, and even then in CR there were shots where a left side parting was evident.Ĭraig did put a modern twist on it, but the side parting before CR was and still is the definitive Bond haircut.
I don't necessarily think the side-parting is the 'Bond haircut', Craig was allowed to put a contemporary twist on it.
